Subject: Catholic News:? Abortion: Still the Great Divider - Vol 1, #773
Mankind is fascinating, in so much as humans are the highest form of life on
earth, and with the debate over abortion - what time in term, when is the
embryo a human, it's a woman's right over her body, etc. - places human life
so lowly as to destroy it.?? Take for instance, in this modern world, how
concerned the media would be over the destruction of say - a crop, giving it
massive attention for the waste and destruction by flood, or a disaster of
some other sort.
Should a farmer plow his fields, then go to market to purchase his seeds,
and then plant this crop - it becomes immediately, once sown in the fields,
the END PRODUCT.?? It is not referred to as his seed, when asked if planted,
but by the end product, sic: 'corn', etc.?? The anticipation of the end
product clearly identifies the farmer's crop.?? So, if it is prematurely
destroyed, there is great concern over the end product's destruction.?? Why
is this not clear within the minds of mankind that the highest form of life,
human life, once planted within the womb of a woman is the END PRODUCT,
despite it's premature stage of development?
If only all concerned debating abortion could have experienced what God
granted me in June, 1963.?? I believe the actual date this occurred was June
23, 1963 but since I'd been in the hospital since the end of May in an
effort to hold this 9th child [7 sons had died at birth or shortly after and
I had only my first born son alive]; time was just passing until her due
date of July 13th.
However, this particular morning at Queen of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles,
California, a young mother was weeping in the room adjacent to mine on the
labor floor.?? I could hear the nurse sharply argue with this weeping mother
that she was simply having a 'miscarriage' not a birth.? She even referred
to this birth as an abortion of her fetus from her body, but certainly [very
stressed word] not a birth.? The nurse then came into my room to apologize
for the weeping woman next door, hoping she hadn't upset me.
I asked the nurse when the mother was due to deliver her child.?? The nurse,
standing beneath the crucifix on the room's wall, rather strongly stated
that it wasn't a delivery, since the mother's due date was October 25th.
My response was that this due date was the birthday of my living child, and
that this mother WAS [stressed the word] delivering her child, or giving
birth.?? And that I was then and there asking the Sacred Heart of Jesus to
show this nurse that no matter what stage of pregnancy a mother was in, the
unborn child was a human from conception.?? The nurse rather shook her head
at me, stating that 'was impossible' and left the room.
Later in the afternoon this same nurse came back into my room visibly
shaken, ash white and weeping herself.?? She rested against the wall under
the crucifix, and said to me.?? 'If I hadn't held him in my hand, I wouldn't
believe it!'?? Then explained that the young mother next to me had given
birth to a baby boy, no larger than the nurse's thumb.?? He was fully
developed: eyes, ears, nose, mouth, fingernails, etc. and yet just inches
long.?? He was ALIVE!?? This baby boy lived for three full days at Queen of
Angels Hospital, during which time he was baptized and his mother saw her
valiant son.
How could I, still in my twenties, have such faith??? Clearly from the gift
of dying to earth on Good Friday, April 4, 1958 when Our Lord took me to
Heaven, instructed me that this baby I had died to earth giving birth to,
was instead coming home to Him, but that I was to return to earth to bring
even more children through me for a return to Him.? Life here is a test of
LOVE.?? And when little unborn children prematurely born, or as infants or
small children return immediately to Him, it is because: "THEY ARE TREASURES
SO RARE HE CAN PART WITH THEM NO LONGER.?? THEY NEED NO FURTHER TEST OF LOVE."?? These words are exactly the words Our Lord spoke to me that day before sending me back to earth.
We must each fight for the rights of the life of the unborn.?? Most
especially for those being aborted, without thought to Our Lord's will as to
why they were given life by Him at their beginnings during conception.?? A
question for all: what if I had been aborted??? Have I had no impact on this
world, and would it have made any difference had I not been allowed to be
here??? It is true that a soul is defined as intellect and free will, but
what of the unborn's intellect and free will, too?
One thing I also learned in Heaven is that we each individually choose to
come here for this test of love, and so abortion denies the soul choosing
life here that accomplishment.? ? Perhaps the aborted child was to cure AIDS
or was to be a peace maker.?? The life aborted is an angel - a true child of
God.?? Those who abort them, allow them, perform them, and have such
disregard for life [which is GOD] will have a terrible time when they
ultimately die to earth.? That is, if they aren't sorry, haven't repented
for it, and/or stop the practice when they realize what they are doing.
There should be no debate over human LIFE.?? God, Our Creator, is the Giver
and the Taker of life, not us.?? To end a defenseless unborn child's life is
tantamount to Lucifer's sin - wanting to be God.? ? And that is exactly what
humans have been doing in this modern age, playing God!? Abortion, stem cell
research from fetus, etc. is playing God.? ? This why our world is in such
dire straights, too!
We call ourselves Christians, God's children.? ? Well, God's children need
to take action, stop talking or mumbling about the problems, and start
becoming the active, unsilent majority for the sake of humanity and Our
Lord.? We can each make a difference if we'd make the time to write the law
makers, be more concerned and involved in helping women seek alternative
solutions, and take back the responsibilities of teaching our children
Christian principals.?? And that includes not going to obscene movies,
clicking off offensive TV, not purchasing products sponsoring them, not
purchasing offensive music, monitoring children's use on TV and with games
they play, and getting back on track towards the moral majority this county
once held in respect.?? I intend to write my legislators.?? Please do the
same!?? We can make a difference in this debate!
